Date night

This weekend we had some crazy storms in Melbourne, and there was even hail!  It’s not cold enough to hail here.  Insane.  This is not the best picture of hail you will ever see, it was really dark (at about 4pm on Saturday) and I had to do some dodgy work in Photoshop to even make the hail visible.

So last night, having heard the weather prediction for more storms, we decided to go out for dinner and then to a movie. We saw The Hurt Locker.

Whilst I don’t think it was as traumatic as The Road (the last movie we saw) it was certainly confronting and a little disturbing.  And very very well acted.  Kathryn Bigelow will deserve the Best Director Oscar if she wins it today.
