Interwebs, meet Teddy

Three days ago, I found a kitten in our front yard.  It looked sad and lost and hungry.  It spent that night curled up in Huffle’s carrier, with a nice warm towel and some food (still outside).  Yesterday, the kitten was still there.  And it was putting its front paws up on the glass in our front door to see it, and crying.  It spent last night in our bathroom, with some toys and more food and water and towels.  This morning, the kitten had its first visit to the vet, has been vaccinated and de-wormed and de-flead, and is back in the bathroom waiting to meet Huffle Mawson.

Teddy 03Welcome to the family Teddy.

I actually called the RSPCA yesterday because I did NOT want another cat.  They told me that the kitten would probably end up at the same shelter Huffle came from.  But after discussing it at length last night, we agreed that we can certainly afford to give a kitten a home, so we decided to keep him.  Huffle is either a) oblivious or b) ignoring him.  I hope they get along.

    Hello, Teddy!

I did NOT want another cat when I rescued Whitey, and I certainly did NOT want another cat when I fostered Gracie. When a stray cat wanders into my yard now I tell him to just keep moving along, he does NOT live here. srsly.

🙂 edda’s sister freya was adopted because i saw her at the vet and fell in love with her. (edda was a spontaneous adoption when we went to pick up freya.)

How is Teddy doing? We are concerned that there’s been no mention of him on Huffle’s blog. Is he OK?

Sweetness!!! He chose you! What a lucky kitty! We brought a yellow lab and a small dog home (4 and 2 years respectively) and our cat still pretends like they’re only visiting…
