In December 2010 we travelled to Indonesia to climb some volcanoes.  What someone neglected to tell me was that Mt Bromo, where we were going, had been erupting for days, even weeks, before we arrived.

I was less than impressed but on the positive side, I didn’t have to hike up the side of the volcano because no-one was allowed that close to it.

    You should have been MORE than impressed. How often are you going to see a volcano billowing smoke? Excellent photo.

    I’ve said it before but it bears repeating… your vacations are just a little bit too real for me! But I do envy your sense of adventure and the sights you’ve seen!

    Great picture! I love your vacations! I’m always ready for a good adventure and that with/about the volcano was definitely interesting!
