Shoe Challenge 2

I managed to save another four pairs of shoes this week, so I’m doing really well so far.  Eight down, 86 to go.

Save 120319
Wittner black patent heels; Jane Lamerton dress

Saved 120320
Diana Ferrari brown peep toes; Jane Lamerton dress

Saved 120322
Steve Madden red wedge peep toes; Jane Lamerton dress

Saved 120324
Orbit pink flats; jeans from who knows where.

And next week when I am not so lazy, I will make a collage photo rather than posting them individually.

At the same time as doing the shoe challenge, I am also doing the wardrobe challenge.  Same principle: save your clothes by wearing them at least once in a year, or lose them. Hence the dresses in the photos above.

Because I am so clever, I also foolishly bought three more dresses this week. Like I don’t have enough to try and save in the next year. I’ll show you those as I wear them.

In other news, I finally got the KitchenAid Stand Mixer that I have been drooling over for years. I had enough points on my credit cards to get one for free!

Mixer 01

I am extremely thrilled. I baked cupcakes this afternoon, just to test it out. Very pleased with the result.

I actually love those Orbit pink flats! My KitchenAid mixer is old but still works beautifully well! However, it only has a 4-1/2 cup capacity. My bil just bought the Artisan and gave his old KitchenAid to one of his sons who love, love, loves to bake breads. Well, all kinds of stuff, actually. Best Pizza on the Grill just as an example. Oh, and pasta, scrambled eggs…

    OK, I’ll stop now.

You will love the mixer. My first “fun” purchase after I graduated from college and started earning a paycheck was a KitchenAid mixer. Mine is boring white though, so your’s is much more fun.

Also, love the blue dress. And all of your shoes.

If you’ve worn the Orbit pink flats I’m guessing you intend on keeping them. When they bore you send them to me, OK.

I really need you to come here and be my personal shopper… you have the greatest dresses… oh wait, maybe I need to go to Australia and shop because there’s never anything that fabulous in the stores I shop in (and please don’t say: of course they don’t sell fabulous dresses at the only store you seemingly go to: Starbucks).

I happen to know you also go to CVS. Not sure they sell dresses there either 🙂

I will gladly take you shopping, either next time I come to the USA or if you come visit me, which you totally should.

I loved your shoes, but what I reeeeally loooved (this the exaggeration, but sincere!) is that lovely first dress! Beautiful!
The mixer looks sooo cool, and then you tell us you got it for free? Even better!
It’s the second year I am doing the Shoeper Shoe Challenge. I tell you, it’s great. I certainly can’t use the same rules as everybody, cause I’m always “jumping” from place to place, but I think I’m OK this way: the shoes I wore last year are now in another continent. I won’t count them this year. I wore 133 pairs last year.
The shoes that are with me in the UK and the ones I’m buying, of course, I have to wear here. When I reunite myself with the rest of the collection, I’ll go on wearing one by one. This was the way I found to wear all of them, when I can.
Believe me, the challenge is great – I would have never worn so many shoes last year if I didn’t take part.
The wardrobe challenge I found – for me – superfluous, I explain: I was doing it together with the shoe challenge anyway. I wore lots of different outfits last year, based on the same principle: wear them or lose them.
So I’m going on the same way this year too.
Glad you are in, this year! It was about tme 😉
